Our Story
Hey everyone, Andrew here owner of Shipwrecked Watch Company.
I just wanted to share my inspiration, and a little back story on why I created Shipwrecked.
In 2012 I joined Military Sealift Command which acts as the military's supply line delivering supplies all over the world. Fast forward to a couple years in and I ended up pier side in pearl harbor Hawaii, where I wandered into a random watch shop and bought my first watch. I was hooked ever since.
During this time, I got the privilege to sail as an AB onboard the USNS Grasp T-ARS 51. The Grasp, at the time was 1 of 2 Naval Salvage Vessels in the US Navys fleet operating worldwide with a crew of around 30 MSC Civmars (DOD Employees). During my time onboard we underwent numerous missions all over the globe, including the North Sea, which is home to some of the roughest waters in the world.
Not only did I sail some of the roughest waters, but also some of the most dangerous, the Gulf of Aden; as well as the Red Sea where piracy is a normal occurrence. Combining my experiences working onboard a naval salvage vessel, and my passion for watches has inspired me to create Shipwrecked Watch Company.
